Plantation Single Cask Peru Multi Vintage Rum 700ml

Specially selected for New Zealand is this Single Cask Peru multi vintage rum distilled at Destilerías Unidas S.A. de Peru. Aged in ex bourbon barrels with time in Cognac casks before finishing in Willett Rye Whiskey barrels, a barrel swap program that will see Willett release a Rum cask edition.

Rye Whiskey and sweet spices on the nose with a rich palate of bananas and pears leading into a long woody, dry finish.

TASTING NOTES

Nose : It starts with an intense note of varnish rapidly followed by fruity, vanilla and rye whiskey notes. It then evolves on wood smoke with a balsamic touch.

Palate : Rich quite woody, it reminds the nose with fruity notes of cooked pear, lemon, banana and kiwi and dryer notes of ginger, pepper, almond and nutmeg.

Finish : Long and rather dry with milk chocolate, walnut and banana.
