Aged entirely for 15 years under Jamaica’s intense tropical climate, Hampden 15 Years Old is the distillery’s oldest estate-matured release since ageing began onsite in Trelawny in 2010. Extended tropical maturation dramatically accelerates concentration, delivering a depth of flavour comparable to spirits aged several decades in Europe. Produced from Hampden’s historic high-ester “mark” (200–400 g/HLAP), first developed in 1952, and matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks, this small-batch bottling reveals an extraordinary interplay of fruit, spice, oxidative richness and the unmistakable oily, funky character that defines traditional Jamaican pot still rum.

Founded in 1753, Hampden Estate is one of Jamaica’s oldest and most revered rum distilleries, famous for its wild fermentation, dunder pits and 100% pot still distillation — methods that create naturally high ester levels and intensely aromatic rums. Today, Hampden remains fully independent and estate-driven, producing some of the most characterful, terroir-expressive rums in the world, prized by both collectors and cocktail purists.

Nose: Rich and suave. Orange marmalade, cracked pepper and candied citrus lead into fig, marzipan and roasted nuts, evolving toward currants, burnt cane, incense, honeyed florals and elegant orris butter.

Palate: Lively yet unctuous. Macerated mango and guava, ginger, diesel oil and cocoa unfold into almond milk, cinnamon and a refined, oily texture.

Finish: Long, silky and gently tannic. Cane sugar, cocoa powder, florals, liquorice and medicinal, resinous Hampden funk linger beautifully.
