A 27-year-old single Madeira cask released as part of BenRiach's single cask series Batch 16.

Distilled 24 October 1991 the Madeira hogshead yielded 287 bottles at 53.9%. It was bottled 2019 as a 27-year-old.

Official tasting note: 

Nose: Baked orange, treacle toffee and honeysuckle, with layers of toasted brioche, roast coffee and black peppe.

Taste: Nectarine, fig roll and clotted cream open on the palate, balanced by herbal grassiness. Apricot and tobacco leaf linger into the lasting spiced finish. 

BenRiach is a distillery that we are lucky to enjoy in the 21st century. Built in 1887 as a sister distillery to Longmorn.
