Ardnahoe Inaugural Release 5 Year Old Whisky 700ml

This is the inaugural release from Ardnahoe, the first distillery owned by indie bottler Hunter Laing and the ninth on Islay. As a newcomer, Ardnahoe sets itself apart by being the proud owner of the longest lyne arm on the island and the only distillery to use worm tub condensers. This set up, along with extended fermentation times, creates a richly fruity and oily malt with a healthy dose of peat. Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso sherry casks for five years, this single malt displays notes of shortbread, charred apples, candied ginger and pastel del nata.
