Glen Elgin - Glenlivet 'Cadenhead' 12 Year Old Whisky 700ml

This Speyside whisky has notes of light fruits and an oily texture; these are things you will notice immediately. There is a slight hint of citrus that grows progressively throughout the dram too, and the finish is hoppy with a little nuttiness. An interesting whisky that mixes both commanding and subtle flavours.

Nose: Apples, gooseberries, syrup.

Palate: Oily. White pepper, orange syrup, melon.

Finish: Hoppy, almonds, oranges.

Glen Elgin-Glenlivet Information

A single malt distillery found in Fogwatt, Moray, Glen Elgin began life in 1898. It has been making single malt whisky since 1977 but has been contributing to blends for much longer.

The clear wort, long fermentation and slow distillation contribute to its fruity character. The spirit is also known to be weighty too, so it's very distinctive.
