Arroyo famously produced a special rum using sugarcane juice and a unique yeast which he called ‘Oidium’. We have managed with huge success to produce similar special rum from molasses instead of cane juice, with a similar yeast isolated by ourselves in New Zealand. Our Pure Culture S.Pombe Rums are also a very rich and full bodied product capable of rivaling some truly great Rums.
