Islay
Islay whisky is known for having some of the strongest flavoured malt whiskies in the world, such as Bruichladdich’s Octomore being the peatiest whisky in the world. Islay is a treasure trove for distillers, amongst Bruichladdich is Ardbeg, Bowmore, Caol Ila, Bunnahabhain, and Laphroaig to name a few. Islay whiskies are typically peaty, floral, and carbolic on the palate.
