Bunnahabhain 1991 29 Year Old 'Gordon & Macphail' Connoisseurs Choice Whisky 700ml

This is a proper older-malt, small-batch single cask from Bunnahabhain, matured nearly three decades in a refill hogshead. The refill hogshead suggests more subtle wood influence (compared to first-fill or sherry casks), which tends to let the spirit’s original character shine through over long age.

Nose: Soft tobacco, honeysuckle, milk chocolate and dried banana build subtle sweetness.

Palate: Sweet arrival: orange peel, roasted coffee beans.

Finish: Long, with lingering spice, a faint echo of smoke or coastal saltiness, and gentle oak/mineral tannins rather than heavy wood.
